Everyone dreams of living in the country, but many don’t realize there are some key things to keep in mind before you decide to purchase. Having lived on a farm for most of his adult life, Ryan understands the unique considerations in owning and maintaining a rural property, such as:
- septic needs: weeping beds and septic tanks
- water wells and pumps
- whole house filtration and UV purification, etc. for water treatment
- property drainage
- options for heating – i.e. oil and propane versus natural gas; woodstoves; wood furnaces (indoor and outdoor), etc.
